Protest at Phil Hogan in Glenties
100 protesters greeted Minister Phil Hogan as he arrived at the Magill Summer school in Glenties.
Hogan was greeted by a vibrant and noisy protest as he scuttled in the back door of the venue to avoid having to talk to the electorate.
Protesters pushed past police to get to the door of the conference so that the Minister would hear their dissatisfaction with the imposition of unjust charges on working class people.
After the protest Phil Hogan spat out the line from the government that those who still havent paid are responsible for the shortfall in local government funds. There would be no shortfall if we weren't still bailing out our banks.
Expect more protests from the campaign nationally when warning letters reach homes across the country over the coming weeks.
