Sudanese community to rally in Dublin

Since 16th June, strikes and mass demonstrations continue against the regime in Khartoum. Students, workers and citizens went to the streets of Khartoum and other cities and towns and clashing with the Police, Security Forces and the Rabata militia.

University of Khartoum students, of the Medical Complex demonstrated today demanding the release of their detained colleagues. Many students had joined the protest.

The workers of Atbara Cement Factory continue their strike, started on the 27th of June, against the austerity, and demanding improvement of work conditions and payments of wages.

The workers of Excavation Corporation in WadMadani went on strike today with the same postulates as their colleagues from Atbara.

People in Alhaj- Yousif and Althawrah districts have also demonstrated in the streets demanding the regime to go, and freedom to the detainees.

The Sudanese Journalists Network (Jhar) has call for a protest to free all jailed journalists, some of them for more than two years, in front of the Office of Human rights on Wednesday 4th July 2012.

We demand freedom to all detainees in ghost houses and to stop torturing. Sudanese Diaspora in Ireland will continue to stand to support the revolts in Sudan. On Saturday 7th July, O’Connell Street, at 1 p.m.
