The latest phase of the protest of the People of West Cork against the cuts in health service provision started this morning in the Square in Skibbereen.

“Galway says NO to Health Cuts” campaign asks the people of Galway to march today, Sunday the 4th December, to keep St Francis’ Community Nursing Home open.

Some 2,500 demonstrators gathered on Westminster Bridge in central London Sunday in protest at the government’s planned NHS reforms.

The action forced police to shut the bridge to traffic.
