People before Profit Election Fundraiser

Sunday, 25 April 2010 at 20:00

Sandino's Bar
Water Street

Derry,

We are trying to revolutionise politics in Northern Ireland, to drag it away from the Orange and the Green and to represent all the people who are struggling to make ends meet.

Fighting elections is a costly, costly business and unlike other parties we do not have millionaire donors buying influence and votes, nor would we ever want them. We need our friends and supporters to help us firmly Put People Before Profit.

This fundraiser will be a major opportunity to bring in much needed cash to pay for our posters and our leaflets and to allow us to continue to fight the campaign in a professional way.

In the magnificent main venue in Sandino's Bar we will bring you the finest bands in Northern Ireland to entertain you.

Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas will top the bill with their foot stomping good time folk. Paddy has just recorded our brilliant campaign song which you can download for free from his website.

We will also have the brilliant Future Chaser, one of the most in demand and critically acclaimed young bands in Northern Ireland today.

Power-pop/punk with clever songs and lethal energy, they should never be missed.
Conor Kelly and his Red Medicine, shock, enrapture and mesmerise in equal measures. The young Derry song writer has went from strength to strength over the last two years, recently releasing his brilliant debut album; Damian. Conor's live performances are quite simply extraordinary.

Many other acts have expressed an interest in playing on the night and we will update you to our very special guests when we can confirm them, suffice to say even more of the biggest names in Northern Irish music will be there putting People before Profit.
