Right to Work Formed in Belfast
A Right to Work group has recently been established in Belfast. Over the next months the group will be focusing on agitation around the cuts being imposed by the Con-Dem coalition. David Cameron has declared war on working class people with £11 billion worth of cuts on benefits , pay cut for millions of public sector and increase in the retirement age. Cuts are being imposed on workers and services whilst the rich are having corporation tax slashed. These cuts are huge and going to impact massively on the lives of working people .
Right to Work Belfast had representatives from Unison,Unite,NUJ,CWU and several community workers . It was agreed that Right to Work would organise around the cuts being imposed by the Tory led administration but also the Stormont assembly and the £1billion cuts it will be implementing.
The group agreed to intervene in the August 12th NIPSA protests against the cuts ,to organise a bus over to join the protest at the Tory party conference in Brimingham on October 2nd as well as organising debates and meetings on the cuts.
