Two hundred construction workers are picketing the site of the Mater Hospital extension in Dublin in support of twelve workers made redundant in early April by their employers Architectural Aluminum Ltd. The company continues to use sub-contractors to carry out work appropriate to these workers.

About 100 workers at the Mater Hospital are on strike over the sacking of two of their workmates. The Picket was called by Unite but supported by SIPTU members on site.
