Fine Gael are intent on painting all opposition to the visit of the Queen as living in the past. The opposition to monarchy consists of more than just dissident republicans though. There are countless people in Britain itself who would love to dismantle a parasitic monarchy which costs the British taxpayer over 180 million pounds a year. The cost of the Queens short visit to Ireland will cost over 15 million euro - enough to build a cystic fibrosis unit!
